When Javier Vazquez returned to the New York Yankees, many thought he would be a shoo-in for 15 wins. But sports betting and MLB betting fans have been disappointed by his performance this year as he is currently managing a 6+ ERA.
The Minnesota Twins enter tonight's game as the MLB betting underdogs despite the pitching advantage they seem to boast on paper, however. Sports betting fans know that the Twins have a much better offense than in the past and are capable of hanging with the Yankees now despite their recent losses, however.

The Twins have lost three in a row including two straight to the Yankees in this series, but the first two losses to New York were only by one run each time. Minnesota can come within one run again or win straight up, especially if Blackburn continues to pitch well.
He has a 5-1 record on the year and is the kind of crafty right-hander that can give a powerful lineup like the Yankees that likes to swing on first pitches trouble. Blackburn should be good enough to stake the Twins to a lead early if they are patient hitting against Vazquez, and from there, the Twins have good shot to cover the MLB betting spread.
Sports betting fans know the Twins often fare bad against New York but this isn't the same Twins team. They have way more power and talent offensively than in past years as sports betting fans have found out in 2010.
They will help Minnesota win tonight's game by punishing Vazquez with the long ball.
