Along with betting on the line and total for the Houston/Cincinnati contest on Saturday afternoon you can also take your chances on some proposition wagers involving both Texans quarterback T.J. Yates and Bengals pivot Andy Dalton.
Yates, Houston's third-string quarterback, was pushed into action this year thanks to injuries to both starter Matt Schaub and backup Matt Leinart. In six games Yates completed 61.2 percent of his passes for 949 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Dalton threw for 20 touchdowns and was picked off 13 times for the Bengals in his rookie season this year, throwing for 3,398 yards and completing 58.1 percent of his passes. And that has 'Dalton -9.5' as the favorite on the props board at Bovada Sportsbook for the 'who will record more passing yards' question.
However, when the Bengals and Texans met in Cincinnati in Week 14 Yates threw for 300 yards while Dalton was held to just 189 yards. Yates also had two TD strikes and an INT in that game, with Dalton throwing for one score and avoiding any interceptions.
As well, Dalton and Yates are tied at +160 on the 'who will record more TD passes' prop question, with Dalton the +150 favorite (compared to Yates' +170) to record more interceptions in Saturday's contest.
In other props for the game, the OVER/UNDER on rushing yards for Texans RB Arian Foster is set at 105.5 – he was held to 41 rushing yards by Cincinnati in Week 14. Bengals RB Cedric Benson, who ran for 91 yards that day, has an OVER/UNDER of just 62.5 this week.
